My grandniece, Raelynn Masterson is a rather private person, but that doesn’t stop her from being social and outgoing. She wasn’t always that way. Rae (as most people call her) started life out with scoliosis, and the pain often kept her on the sidelines. She had extensive surgery to correct that, and these days, she makes up for the lost time by doing anything and everything she wants. I don’t mean to say that Rae is a “wild child” because she isn’t, she just doesn’t allow herself to miss out on life anymore. Rae is the oldest of the three siblings of her mom, Dustie Masterson and dad, Rob Masterson. She has an older half-sister, Christina Masterson, and full siblings, Matt and Taylor.
Rae’s sister, Taylor says, “Rae has been a huge influence in my life. Without her I really don’t think I’d be half as kind as I am now and certainly not as social as I am. It’s weird to not have her at home now but I couldn’t be prouder of her and Matt for getting their own place. It does make me feel better knowing that they’re still living together. I miss the random times we’d talk or when I’d call her a nerd. Rea’s still at Let ‘er Buck Car Wash and she’s thriving there, even with the heat we have right now she still goes in with a smile and
doesn’t slow down. She was more than willing to take a few days off to help Mom, Dad, and me move out as well. Without her and Matt we wouldn’t have moved out as quickly as we did. I will always be grateful to have her as my older sister because even when she’s mad at me if I need her, she will always be there. I love my sister more than I could ever put into words.”
Her mother can’t believe her oldest is “23 years old now and living on her own now (with her brother). I think I’m having some separation anxiety from not having them at home, but my daughter is amazing she’s funny and smart and intuitive. I miss her laugh. It’s a laugh that just bubbles up from her stomach and no matter what kind of mood you’re in it makes you smile. I’m so happy I’m proud of her she works really hard she’s now senior member Let ‘er Buck Car Wash on CY Avenue. Rae really doesn’t want to drive a car, but she realizes that she needs a way to get around, so she’s going to get an electric bicycle, which I think will be really awesome. She’s always loved biking and I really admire her sticking to her guns about not wanting to drive. Not a lot of people can do that.” I agree,
but if you aren’t comfortable with something, you shouldn’t feel forced into it. Not everyone stands so firm about their decisions. Today is Raelynn’s 23rd birthday. Happy birthday Raelynn. Have a great day!! We love you!!
